“Impacts of Food Production on Soils Overseas” – a free Birkbeck lecture (Event)

Birkbeck University’s Institute of Environment, in partnership with the Ecology and Conservation Studies Society, continue to offer their excellent free lecture series on ecology and conservation issues.  The Spring 2010 series has focussed on the topic of ‘Soil’, covering a range of subtopics in refreshing detail.

There are still three chances to attend the lecture series at Birkbeck; of particular interest to food policy practitioners will be the meeting, “Impacts of food production on soils overseas” on the 12th of March. Those planning to attend should expect a technical exploration of the subject from an earth sciences perspective (as opposed to a more general policy discussion).

A full schedule of the lectures can be found here.
